Pymalian and Galatea

Pygmalion and Galatea

Pygmalion and Galatea is your basic myth of a sculptor falling in love with his creation after having multiple problems with women. Pygmalion was a sculptor who indulged in his work, as it sculpting was the only beauty he knew. One day, he carved the statue of a very beautiful woman, who he could not keep from staring at. He named her Galatea, meaning "she who is white like milk). She had unparalleled beauty and he found himself deeply admiring her for days, wishing for her to be his wife. At the same time this was going on, the celebration of Aphrodite was about to start, and on the day of the festival while making sacrifices to Aphrodite, Pygmalion deeply prayed for Galatea to be his wife, and Aphrodite, encouraged and flattered by him, granted his wish. Upon returning home, Pygmalion had noticed that Galatea's cheeks were flushed like a real person's and soon he realized that his wish had come true, and he held her in his arms, feeling what should have been cold being warm and feeling veins. They became married and lived happily ever after.

In case you don't know who they are..
I honestly have no clue what character I would like to be brought to life. But if I absolutely had to choose, it would most likely be the crew of Marvel's The Avengers, and it would have to be all of them or it wouldn't be worth it. I would bring them to life because they are great at what they do-saving the world! If anything went wrong, they would be there to solve the problem and save civilization as we know it. Who wouldn't want to see these crime-fighting people around saving us?
