Pygmalian and Galatea

Pygmalian was a Greek sculptor from the island of Cyprus who detested women. He saw them for all their imperfections and wanted nothing to do with them. However, as a sculptor, Pygmalian's finest work was a sculpture of what he thought to be the perfect woman, Galatea. He was so emotionally attached to his creation that he actually fell in love with her. Aphrodite saw this and, in appreciation of a sacrifice by Pygmalian, gave life to Galatea. Pygmalian was overjoyed and he and Galatea were married under Aphrodite's blessing. They went on to have a son who would then have a city named after him and dedicated to Aphrodite.

If I could bring a character to life, I'd probably bring back Goose from the classic movie "Top Gun". Goose was the co-pilot of Maverick (played by Tom Cruise) and always hilarious. One of my favorite moment's from the movie is when Maverick and Goose are waiting to meet with Viper (the head of Top Gun) after a bad flight "hop". Goose asks Maverick if he still remembers the number for Truck Driving School because he jokes that they're not going to graduate from Top Gun. Goose is a crack-up and would be an awesome character to hang out with in real life.
