Daphne and the Laurel Wreath

The story in Greek mythology of Daphne and the Laurel Wreath is that of a love story of sorts. Apollo once angered the god of love, Eros. Eros shot Apollo with an arrow to make him fall in love with the nymph Daphne. But Eros also made sure that Daphne would never be in love with Apollo. This caused much conflict and struggle as you can imagine. Apollo chased after Daphne with no positive results. Apollo tries to find out what was going on, but Daphne asks the help of her river-god father who turns her into a tree so that she may be safe from Apollo. Apollo decided that the leafs of this Laurel tree will always be green and well. From then on, he wore a wreath of Laurel leafs that became his symbol.
Eternal youth sounds really nice because it would give you so much time to explore and do fun things without having all the adult responsibilities put on you.  From where I stand right now, I want to be young forever, but I think it is important to grow up so that you can work towards long-term goals and keep moving forward which is really incredibly important.
