Jacob and Esau

Isaac, the son of Abraham, had two sons himself, Esau and Jacob. Esau was the older son, and so he was to inherit all the birthrights form his father. Jacob was told by his mother to trick Esau into getting the birthrights from him. So Jacob makes soup one day, and Esau comes home very hungry, and Jacob convinces him to trade birthrights for soup. A reasonable trade if I may say so myself.

I don't think I really have any birthrights to speak of. Those don't seem to exist in our society. I am the youngest, so even if they did exist, I doubt I'd be favored for them.
