Cupid and Psyche

This story has to do with Pysche, a beautiful daughter of a king whom Venus was jealous of for her incredible beauty. As a result of her jealousy and anger, Venus instructed her son, Cupid, to shoot her with an arrow so that she'd fall in love with a monster. However, when he saw her, he shot himself with the arrow instead and fell in love with her. When Psyche's parents sent her to a mountain to wait for her monster love, she was prepared to kill it, when Cupid appeared. He was startled and went running for his life. Eventually Psyche realized what had happened and searched for her new love. Eventually she asked Venus for help, who made her do all these stupid things to find Cupid. They finally got married and lived happily ever after. I think I'm gonna be sick.

Now onto something a little more interesting. I chose to pick a love story that was much more than all the gushiness.

Fiesta Bowl 2007. College Football Powerhouse Oklahoma vs Undefeated but little known Boise State. Boise State comes from behind to force overtime. Then, in overtime, Boise State goes for 2 with the famous Statue of Liberty Play to star RB Ian Johnson. He runs it in for the game-winning score and then afterwards, proposes to his beautiful girlfriend, who just so happened to be the Head Cheerleader at Boise State. It doesn't get any more American than that. The proposal captured the attention of nearby Boise State fans and even Good Morning America, who did a segment on it a few days later (link below).
