i pronounce it coloRADo because its a RADICAL state !! YEAH *PLAYS SWEET GUITAR RIFF*

i hope you guys arent offended by the fact that im not typing properly, eep (as well as the obvious bootlicking going on in the title of this post)
i just find it easier to get my thoughts out whenever i type like this so um YEAH
gotta keep it casual, fun, and flirty

but yeah!!! i feel obliged to introduce myself (even though you can probs see my name on this post anyways) seeing as how were still strangers to each other
my names bay, im 17, and most of what i care about in this world has to do with robots that turn into vehicles and hot boys who wield swords
i also like sea creatures and aquatic puns!

anywaves
the porpoise of this post is to talk aboat the swimportance of being earnest and just how gosh darn knee-slappin funny it is, as well as talk about my sense of humor

uh
i guess ill just start typing out some funny bits that i liked from the play, though i found the whole thing funny

Algernon: [...] Bunbury is perfectly invaluable. If it wasn't for Bunbury's extraordinary bad health, for instance, I wouldn't be able to dine with you at Willis's tonight, for I have been really engaged to Aunt Augusta for more than a week.
Jack: I haven't asked you to dine with me anywhere tonight.
Algernon: I know. You are absurdly careless about sending out invitations. It is very foolish of you. Nothing annoys people so much as not receiving invitations.

this feels like im just explaining the joke, but i think what really gets me here is just how smoothily and sassily algernon brings up a. the fact that he's shoving himself into going to dinner with jack, and b. how he makes the situation all about jack's lack of inviting him as opposed to his rudeness
i dont know i just like it when characters are clever jerks

also pretty much every scene with gwendolen has something funny about it

Jack: And I would like to be allowed to take advantage of Lady Bracknell's temporary absence...
Gwendolen: I would certainly advise you to do so. Mamma has a way of coming back suddenly into a room that I have often had to speak to her about.

i just love that gwen is calling attention to the fact that, most likely, lady bracknell is going to totally kill this moment, and the fact that this moment murder is a thing thats happened enough times to warrant gwen calling her mom out on it just makes the idea funnier
the whole proposal scene in general is just really amusing because of how matter of fact gwen is, as well as how silly it is that shes so gung-ho about the name ernest (the humor being amplified by the situational irony - ooh, fancy - of us knowing about ernest's desire to go by simply jack and gwen's insistence that jack is such a boring name. it doesnt cause """"vibrations"""")
and, of course, theres the utter ridiculousness of lady bracknell's notepad and grilling of ernest about whether or not he's decent for her daughter to marry and algernon teasing jack's whining about clever people by saying that all idiots ever talk about is clever people and UGH its all just so silly, i love it

time for me to talk about what i find funny (because everybody wants to hear about this)
uh . please dont hate me for this but i find the humor in the webcomic homestuck to be really funny, and i honestly dont know why
i think a lot of the humor from there just comes from the utter ridiculousness of the situation, i.e.

i dunno i guess i just like really silly humor!! especially in a comic like homestuck (where obviously unrealistic stuff can happen) where there are no limits as to the ridiculousness that can go on

i also have a fondness for surreal and awkward stuff (see: anything from the show tim and eric awesome show great job)

i dont know ahh i cant make sophisticated comments on a lot of this stuff... silliness is rad though !! as is word play and sarcasm and dry humor and hhfhfhfh a lot of things are funny

(the real joke here is my love life)
