Cain and Abel are two familiar people from the beginning of the Bible. Their story goes something like this. Cain and Abel were out working the fields one sunny day on the lords earth. Suddenly a wild talking fairy comes out of no where and tells Cain to hit Abel with a large rock. Cain, obviously delusional at the time, listens to the fairy and it kills his brother Abel. Now this story would not relate at all to a sibling rivalry/conflict had Abel not told his brother Cain earlier not to listen to wild talking fairies. Abel doing so caused them both to argue on their way into the pastures that morning.
Personally, I have never been talked into throwing anything at anyone by a particular wild talking fairy. I have, however, argued with my siblings as some point or another. There have always been the disputes over chores, seats on trips, plates at dinner, who is right, and all of the other generic sibling quarrels. Despite these quarrels, my two younger sisters and I have always been able to settle our differences and move on. Rock throwing was never involved but once in Nevada. I must say though that that is a story for another time.
