One good thing- Hope

Pandora was presented to men by the gods as a beautiful disaster, evil to men, with a nature to do evil. All of the gods gave her something. However, her curiosity would ruin the world forever, according to mythologists. The Gods presented Pandora with a box that she was never to open. Her curiosity caused to open the box and release evil on the Earth. The only good thing to come out of the box was Hope.  Oh wait, that's the one thing she kept in the box.

Of all the evils that exist today I wish unhealthiness would have never left Pandora’s Box.  Unhealthiness includes a large number of topics: obesity, smoking, alcoholism, and lack of exercise. Think about it. The number of strokes and many other health related issues would decrease if people were simply healthy. Yes, I understand that some people cannot help. But, to those who sit on the couch, eating fast food, playing video games; I ask why? Why would you not go play basketball with your friends or something healthy? It is not difficult. Being healthy feels rewarding.  Smoking and alcoholism are also two evils that go hand-in-hand with unhealthiness. You would not have to be paying for lung cancer treatment with a hole in your thought if you never started smoking in the first place. The same goes for alcohol and liver diseases. Why?

Thanks Pandora. If only you had not opened the box.

All I can do is HOPE that one day, everyone will get better. Just like Pandora hoped she could close the box.
