Origins: Adam and Eve

The first story in the Bible is, according to my beliefs, the reason why society is the way it is today. As a Christian, we regard the story of Adam and Eve as not just our origin, but also the reason why we are lured towards Satan through sin. The story shows how the serpent, which is clearly an extension of Satan's power, lured Eve into eating the fruit and giving it to Adam. As a result, this decision caused the human race to be burdened by the temptations of sin. And, according to the Bible, if we are not able to overcome this struggle, our lives will end in pain and suffering.

Now, being born in the modern era, we are all faced with the challenge that sin poses. However, John 3:14, easily the most well-known verse in the Bible, states that God gave his one and only son so that we may not perish, but have eternal life. And it doesn't stop there. For those of us who are followers of Christ, it is out duty to carry on the way that he, the Messiah, lived by showing kindness and mercy to everyone primarily.

I know we are analyzing this from an allusion and origins perspective, but I just want to take a second to say something that doesn't get talked about a lot. It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from. Jesus loved and continues to love everyone the same, and his mercy will always be enough to fix the troubles going on in your life. In the eyes of Jesus and his followers, everyone is human and our origin is the same.

2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
