Cain and Abel

Adam and Eve had a son named Cain and then later another son named Abel. Cain worked the ground and Abel took care of the sheep. Cain gathered some of his crops and brought them as an offering to the Lord; Abel brought the fattest parts of the firstlings of his flock to the Lord as offerings. The Lord was pleased with Abel and his offering but not with Cain or his offering. Cain became jealous and angry. The Lord saw that Cain was upset and told him that sin was waiting at his door to grab him and he must do what is right to be accepted. Cain however did not listen and instead, took his brother to a field and killed him. The Lord put a curse on Cain and drove him away.

I have a sister, Mency, who’s three and a half years older than me. I didn't actually meet her until I was a year and a half old because she lived in China with my grandparents while my parents were settling down in Lexington. When she came to live with us, it was weird for the both of us. She had unwillingly been flown 14 hours away from what she called home, and I on the other hand, had to learn to live with a maniac toddler who screamed and cried all the time. It also didn't make things easier that our personalities were so different. She was energetic, daring, mischievous, and cunning. I was the opposite. I was shy, obedient, scared of everything, and altogether useless. Simply put, she found me annoyingly boring and I found her ruthlessly mean.

We used to fight a whole lot and she always knew exactly how to make me cry, but then somewhere along the way, we actually became friends. She still makes fun of me, I don’t think that’ll ever change, but I know she’s also looking out for me.

here's a really attractive picture of us
