In Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman on Earth. She was created by Hephaestus as commanded by Zeus. She was given many gifts from the gods, so this made her amazing and beautiful. She was basically courted to marry Epimetheus, and she was also given a special box at the same time, and she was instructed not to open it under any circumstances. Her curiosity got the best of her though and she opened the box, releasing all sorts of evil all of the world. She tried to close the box but the damage had been done and hope was the only thing left from the box.
Personally, I do have an evil that I would like to squelch. This evil would be stereotyping/profiling. Nowadays people will judge anybody based on the way how they look, how they act, how they "should" act, who they hang out with, and what they do. The world would be a much better place if people didn't just put people down because they have stereotyped them and if everyone could just live for themselves. If someone isn't acting " how they should"" as in a racial stereotype, for example, how does this bother you? It doesn't. What gain do you get from putting someone down because they aren't acting the way how you want them too? Nothing at all. There is no point in stereotyping/profiling, so I would love to squelch this evil.
