Cain and Abel are brothers. They are the sons of Adam and Eve. Cain was the first human born and not created. Cain was a farmer while Abel was a shepherd. God asked them to sacrifice him something. Abel sacrificed one of his precious lamb while Cain sacrificed what meant the least to him and sacrificed some grain. God preferred Abels sacrifice. Of course this made Cain jealous of Abel. So Cain murdered him. Cain got sassy with God when God asked where Abel was and responded with "Am I my brother's keeper?". When God learned what Cain did he punished him by no longer allowing him to farm. Cain had to wander the rest of his life.
I have two older brothers so I know about getting jealous of siblings, have shadows to live in etc. At some point I probably wished my older brother could leave the family but only because we butted heads so much. There is a four year difference so I always got on his nerves and he isn't very good at dealing with situations. So there is no surprise we didn't get along. For a few years there we probably ignored each other. My middle brother and I have always seemed to get along better. Our personalities work better together because we aren't as similar. As we've grown up though I am much closer with my oldest brother. Probably because we are both more mature, I am not an annoying 5th and he is wiser. My middle brother and I still get along I just don't see him as much and he is busier so we don't talk as much. It's just interesting to see how my relationship with my middle brother has stayed positive throughout our life and my relationship with my oldest brother went from not being able to be in the same room to not wanting him to leave. Moral: don't make rash decisions like Cain and kill anyone.
