Creation in all its meaning

God does all of this amazing stuff that we try to duplicate, including us.  We screw it up.  We pay for it.

While it may be absurd to some, to others, the story of creation is a pretty wicked awesome event.  Not only is it the reason they are alive, but it is a way to put meaning to everything around us.  It gives us our starting point.  But that isn't the best part of the first three chapters - the best part is that we have something to work towards, something to earn, something to give us reason to keep on doing what it is we do.  The Bible turns into a love story about God trying to get his creation back to what he meant it to be.  It's about perseverance, loyalty, trust.  And these things aren't usually thought about when you just read the first three chapters.

I lived in Harrodsburg, KY, until I was 7 years old.  My great-grandma would watch me while the parents were at work, or when I wasn't in school.  Except for Mondays, which was Mom's day home - arts and crafts day.  When we moved here to Lexington, I got a cat who has been my best friend.  I got in trouble at school because I was too excited about being smart; I called out the answers a lot.  After I joined the quest program, I actually had homework.  I have always loved learning new things, but I think that's because of all the adaptation I've had to undergo through the years.  It's second nature to do something different, as long as I am in the mood to do so.
