There's nothing like sweet revenge. Why Prometheus and his brother decided it was a good idea to steal fire for Man, we will never know but they did. Zeus (quite reasonably) was furious with them. So he decided to create Pandora out of clay and give her to Epimethius. As a wedding present of sorts, Zeus gifted them with a box full of the world's evils and instructed them to never (never ever) open it. But Pandora couldn't quite resist, or get her mind off of it so one day when Epimethius wasn't looking, she decided to sneak a peak. Unfortunately, when she did, Pandora allowed the box's gifts to fly away and poof they went- all but that the last gift: hope.
An evil I'd like to squelch is homophobia. Quite frankly, all it does is build up walls and prevent us from forming relationships with one another and communicating about the stuff that really matters. If we, as the people, really decided move past people's sexual orientation the world might even be a better place.
