Mirror, Mirror

So this mountain nymph named Echo fell in love with this guy named Narcissus.  BUT Narcissus didn't love Echo.  She allowed her love to consume her to the point of deteriorating into nothing, nothing except her voice.  This voice could be heard in the hills and valleys.  Aphrodite got really mad at Narcissus for causing her this pain, so she made him fall in love with himself.  He looked into a fountain and say his reflection; he stayed there, just looking into his own eyes, until he became a flower.

A narcissist I  could "abhor" would be London Tipton.

I mean, just look at her body language.  Her hand shows ultra-femininity, all that jewelry must be heavy, and her face says she didn't get what she wanted when she wanted to get it.  For those of you who didn't watch The Sweet Life of Zach and Cody religiously, like I did, she had her own webshow within the show, featuring stars she could interview about riches and stuff.  She thought she could do whatever she wanted because her daddy owned the hotel.  She didn't understand how the real world worked, mostly because of how wrapped up in herself she was.

On the other hand, an altruistic person I could admire would be my Mary Kay director, Celeste.

I mean, just look at how cute she and her husband are!

And there she is hugging my momma, with such love!!

And here she is presenting her mom with a REAL diamond ring Celeste earned from the company!

She cares about others more than herself.  She is real with them; she doesn't give them a false sense of security, nor does she rip the floor out from underneath them.  She has grace in her truth.  She cares about helping others get to where they need to be, and making sure they learn what they need to along the way.  She is my role model, and you can read my college essay about her.
