Echo and Narcissus (aka Why Pete Carroll sucks and why Jim Mora Jr. is the man)

So, essentially the story centers around Echo, who is the myth who simply cannot shut up to save her life. She reminds of some of the really aggressive people I have debated in Mr. Ray's Debate Class. Sometimes you simply cannot get a word in edgewise, and you always know they'll have something to say in response. That's right about where Echo is in terms of personality. So Juno gets all pissed off by it and basically puts her under a curse in that she can always have the last word, but never the first. This really didn't help her as she was forced to follow this dude name Narcissus all over in hoped that he would make some reply. And then we have Narcissus, who from what I can tell is basically oblivious to it all and ends up admiring himself in the reflection of some pond. Yeah this story really didn't register with me in terms of making logical sense. But oh well, let's roll with it.

Now to the good stuff. Sticking to my sports roots, both of my people I will reference are from the great magical world of College Football.

Enter former USC Head Coach Pete Carroll. Perhaps the most cocky coach ever to grace (I mean haunt) the college game, he is most remembered for his constant "rub it in mentality". I should know. I remember one game between UCLA and USC vividly in which Carroll had the Trojan offense run up an additional 14 points on us after they clearly had the game put away. #classless

Enter current UCLA Head Coach Jim Mora, Jr. Perhaps the classiest and most unselfish coach in recent memory, he is now known for a true display of class two weeks ago when he had the Bruins take a knee in the final minute of a 42-14 when they could have scored a meaningless touchdown to make the score seem not as bad. Let's also not forget that UCLA is winning (19th in the Nation), which automatically means that I will have looked favorably on him anyways. Hopefully I've created a good enough parallel between the #Classy and the #Classless.
