There once was a sculptor, Pygmalion. He loved to sculpt and devoted all of his time to it. One day he bought a nice piece of ivory out of which to sculpt his newest creation. He made a beautiful woman, Galatea. Pygmalion was so fascinated by the beautiful piece he made that he even put her in clothes and jewels and eventually fell in love with the sculpture. He decided to pray, during a religious festival, to the gods asking that the sculpture come to life. They answered his prayers. Pygmalion marries the women and then they even had children.
I wish that some of my favorite book characters would come to life so that I could ask them some questions about the books. But many of these characters probably wouldn't do well in our day to day lives seeing as I like fictional stories with lots of dynamic, sometimes scary, and sometimes mythical characters and creatures!
