when i see my own reflection mostly i just get upset

oh my god im too sleepy for this
but im gonna write something anyways yeah

i found a longer version of this story but heres the truncated version because like i said im very tired
alright so echo (echo... echo ... echo.. .... ...  . .. g et it .get it the joke is echoing) was a nymph who fell in love with narcissus
this was what scientists like to call a bad idea
that was due to the fact that narcissus was a dick who loved nobody but himself
apparently this upset echo so much that she just kinda . faded into nothingness
all except her voice which . bounced off of everything and thats why echos are a thing

yeah
and narcissus spent too long staring at his own reflection and ended up being turned into the flower which bears his name because he was too damn wrapped up in himself
the end
the longer version which i skimmed in my sleepy haze said something about echo loving to talk? but in a bad gossip-y sort of way idk so like. that version of the story .... something something ... my thoughts arent coming to me right now
basically echo becoming just a voice had more TO it than her just being sad over narcissus spending too long jerking it to his own reflection to pay her any mind

im having such a hard time thinking of any specific narcissistic person i abhor but um
basically i just hate people with superiority complexes??? like if you think youre wholly better than anyone else you can go frick a dick
people are going to be better than others at certain things, or smarter or whatever, but theyre also going to be worse than others at certain things
basically just dont be an asshole
also this is just a pet peeve but people that reblog pictures of themselves that they posted bug the crap outta me like okay its one thing if a friend posts a pic of you and youre like 'yeah alright im gonna reblog this' but if youre reblogging your own selfie or w/e just so that more people are gonna see it its like yeah no . please stop

without getting too mushy and gross im just going to say than an altruistic person i admire is my best friend mcginnis hes really sweet and kind and would do anything for the people he cares about and hes just. so flippin nICE he compliments everybody and is just . so darling and i want to hold his hand . hes my precious baby. my sweet sugar drop
