Jason and the Golden Fleece

Jason wanted to be the King, but his father told him that in order to be King, he had to go get a Golden Fleece from a sheep. Jason, assembles a little crew of people to go on the journey to find this fleece. His team called the Argonauts set off on their journey, and in a very Odyssey-like fashion, they bump into a lot of obstacles on the way. Eventually, they get the fleece, and Jason meets a woman named Medea. Medea helps Jason in the protection of the fleece. Though Jason had the fleece, he was not yet in line to assume the throne. In one variation of the story, Medea goes a little bit crazy and tricks the King’s daughters into killing their father and then Medea kills them so that Jason can take the crown. Either way, eventually, Jason takes the throne. 

One story of love and revenge is a story in the show Scandal. In the show, the story is based on love getting mixed into people’s schemes for revenge. For example, the President is in love with the main character, Olivia Pope. But the President’s wife is off to get revenge on Olivia, and the President is trying to seek revenge on Olivia’s father. The whole thing is a mess and a struggle, but it really does show the problems love and revenge can cause.
