The Greatest Natural Disaster

The Great Flood, as it is often referred to, tells of Noah and his ark. God came to Noah one day, and told him there was going to be a great flood. God told him how to build an ark for the animals, a male and a female of the species, and to gather them quickly before the flood arrived. The land needed to be cleansed of its evils. Noah worked and built the ark. As God had promised, it rained for forty days and nights. On the fortieth day, the sun came out. Noah sent out a dove to find land to unload upon. The land then dried up and the animals came off of the ark. 

An animal that I find particularly fascinating is Pooh Bear. His mysterious tales of missing honey and friends gone grouchy, have captivated me since a baby. Each adventure he takes on, he faces a dilemma, which, more than often, was solved by kindness and a generous heart. His compassion shared with Piglet, Tigger, Owl, and Eeyore grow with each story. My favorite being Pooh Goes Visiting and Gets Into a Tight Place, when Pooh goes for a walk and winds up stuck in Rabbit's hole. Everyone has to work together with much pushing and shoving to get him out (that's how life is sometimes). I grew up learning about his kindness and his caring nature. Each story inspired me to help others as much as I can, knowing that they were in a sticky situation (get the pun?).
